After finishing Book 3 of The Collector Series, Across the Divide, my heart shattered and a sense of life escaped my body. Yeah it was THAT serious! Surely, the title should have prepared my mind for what was going to happen. But a glimmer of "hope" wanted me to think that Stacey would go easy on me. HA <insert evil cackle>. She never does, and of course it wouldn't be an SMB book, if she had gave us what "we" wanted.
All is not lost, or at least I hope it's not as I patiently wait for the release of From Burning Ashes, the final installment in the series. I have no idea what to expect. I've come to grow and love all the characters, well with the exception of Vadik, Amara and Rapava, but I'm nervous of how things will progress. Stacey likes to share updates with her readers, and she seemed tortured, which terrifies me. Argh, I just need for this book to DROP so I can get on with my life. If you haven't started the series, do so TODAY. Join me on the #SMBRollercoster and see why I CAN'T GET ENOUGH!
From Burning Ashes
Book 4 The Collector Series
Stacey Marie Brown
This war is not being played on a battlefield.
Killed by the man she loves, not even death is kind to Zoey. Neither life nor her fae powers will let her go in peace.
In this final installment, Zoey’s strength, determination, and trust are put to the ultimate test. In the fight to protect the people she loves and stop DMG from experimenting on fae, humans, and animals to create soldiers, she learns the reality of how far Dr. Rapava will go to achieve his ultimate mission.
Of course, Rapava is not the only one willing to go to extremes. Vadik is hunting Ryker, and there is nothing he won’t do to get back the property he feels is his: both Ryker and the Stone of Destiny.
To end one evil, Zoey might have to make a deal with another. One she won't be able to get out of. And it could be the worst decision she ever made.
